Immortalise that special critter in your life, Ash creates bespoke watercolour, ink and dotwork illustrations in her signature colourful style & soft, naturalistic painting
What is Custom Critter Creations you ask? Custom paintings of your pets or wildlife!
I paint more than just pets! My journey back into painting started with painting my zoo colleagues favourite animals that they worked with! From those paintings I was asked to paint people’s beloved fur-family and so Custom Critter Creations was created! So whether your critter is furry, feathered or scaled I would love to paint them!

How it works
From a photograph of your critter/s I create a digital sketch first to get the positioning perfect (yes I can merge two or more photos together!) the design is then hand sketched onto FSC Certified watercolour paper or Cotton Rag and the hand painting process begins!
At this stage I take on 4 commission pieces per month to ensure I have adequate time to create your artwork
Please note this is a custom service, once a painting style and photograph have been approved it can take between 7-14 days to complete your artwork (excluding delivery times), so please consider this if ordering for a gift/occasion.
Want it framed? Ask me about custom framing options hello@wild-art.com.au and I can help organise a quote with one our local framers.
Custom framing not quite in the budget right now, but still want your artwork to be framed? Affordable and sustainable framing options can be sourced, ask me for a quote - hello@wild-art.com.au

The nitty gritty: Please understand that this is a custom service, the artwork is created from the photographs that you provide (the more the better!) and ultimately the photo that will make the best outcome for your painting will be selected. When capturing your pet the more detail the better & of course make sure you get their good side 😉
Some not so profressional pet photography tips:
- Take the photo from your pets level
- Focus on the face / eyes
- Natural light is everyone’s friend ☀️
- Avoid busy backgrounds
- Take photos using burst mode for those wiggly, excitable critters
- If multiple pets are being painted in the one painting individual photos are perfect (don’t worry I can make them look like they were sitting perfectly next to each other 😉)
Not that tech/photo savvy? Switch your photo settings to Portrait Mode - it works so well on animals!
